At Mirambeena, every child’s journey is valued and supported. Our four rooms are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of each age group, creating environments where children feel safe, inspired, and ready to explore. Guided by experienced educators, each room offers opportunities for play, discovery, and meaningful connection.
We believe that play is the foundation of learning and that every stage of development deserves the right balance of care, encouragement, and challenge. From the security of infancy through to kindergarten readiness, each room provides a nurturing pathway for children to grow and thrive.
Our programs are centred on play based learning, which helps children organise and make sense of their social worlds as they actively engage with people, objects, and ideas. By observing each child’s interests and needs, we provide a program that is responsive, relevant, and tailored to support individual growth. Our approach is dynamic and flexible, extending children’s skills, knowledge, and abilities in meaningful ways.

Gumnut Room

Caring for babies 3 months – 2 years, the Gumnut Room provides a calm and nurturing environment for our youngest learners. Experienced educators guide each child with gentle care, providing plenty of space to explore, play, and develop foundational skills in a safe and supportive setting. Routines are respected, comfort is always close at hand, and every milestone – big or small, is celebrated.

The Possum Room welcomes children 2–3 years with energy, imagination, and discovery. Children can explore an outdoor area for running, climbing, and digging, alongside a dedicated play and art space filled with dress ups, hands-on art, and mud play to inspire curiosity. Independence, creativity, and social skills are nurtured in a safe and joyful environment.
Catering to 3–5 year olds the Butterfly Room is one of our two Kindergarten rooms offering engaging, play-based Kindergarten programs guided by qualified early childhood teachers. The focus is on play as the foundation of learning, encouraging creativity, resilience, and curiosity.
Loose parts play, nature-based experiences, and purposeful risk-taking are central to the program, giving children the freedom to build, explore, and collaborate in meaningful ways. The Butterfly Room is a space where confidence grows, friendships deepen, and children prepare for the exciting transition to school

Our second Kindergarten room for 3–5 year olds, the Kookaburra Room offers a stimulating environment for pre-schoolers. Learning is play-based, flexible, and responsive to children’s individual needs and interests. The natural world is an integral part of the program, encouraging children to care for the environment and engage in imaginative, hands on exploration.
With a play-based program, blending loose parts, nature play, and risk-taking activities to develop confidence, social skills, and a readiness for school through meaningful learning. Led by educators with a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood, the program follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).

Mirambeena is a home away from home, where children are cherished, families feel connected, and community thrives.

Play is central to learning, fostering imagination, curiosity, resilience, problem-solving, and social connection.

We believe that children thrive when they enjoy healthy, nutritious meals and develop positive eating habits that support their growth and learning.
