Parent Handbook

Sending your child to day care or kindy can be a very daunting undertaking both for yourself as a parent and for your child. The Parent Handbook is aimed at assisting you with some ideas which we hope will make it easier for those occasions. It can be quite an emotional time leaving your child for those first few times with staff and other children whom you do not know. As previously mentioned we suggest you and your child come to the centre for a few visits prior to starting. Staff are only too happy to talk with you about any of your concerns.

Mirambeena’s staff cohort are very caring, placing your child’s welfare and safety  uppermost. The staff take their role very seriously and understand that you are entrusting your most precious gift in their care, and will ensure your child’s time at Mirambeena is one filled with happiness and lots of fun. On your child’s first and even subsequent days we suggest that you leave him/her for only a few hours initially. Extend that time as you see your child becoming familiar with the centre. Please be mindful that in those early days you are most welcome to ring us to see how your child’s day is progressing. If we feel your child is upset, we will also contact you to keep you informed. To alleviate your concerns and also to address any questions which you may have, we have compiled a Parent Handbook.
